How to maintain your lifestyle with Keto Diet?
Fast and almost immediate results can be achieved when one first starts on keto diet. The challenge is to how to keep your ketogenic diet in the long run and yet, do not affect your health (no keto flu attack), friendly on your pocket and yet fit into your lifestyle.
I made this change in my life when I reached my perk in terms of weight and size, my waist was 77cm and I can no longer fit into my working skirts and pants. My tummy was bulging out even though I work out twice weekly. I turned to weight loss pills and they made my heart beat fast, my concentration level was really low. The weight loss pills affected my health and work so I decided to stop after 1 month! The time comes when I met my girlfriend who has dropped 3 sizes down after 6 months, wow! I was impressed and shocked when I saw her. So, I decided to try out ketogenic diet and did minor changes along the way to maintain my weight.
I managed to drop 1 size down after 3 weeks and my waist line is still shrinking without going on hunger or changing much on my lifestyle. I still go for my weekend chill with beer with my friends once every week and I am still maintaining my weight. For outings with my family, I still accommodate to their cravings and enjoying my meal times with them.
These some are of my tips for moms who are looking at slimming down and trying to maintain their shape while taking care of their families.
1. Your daily intake of water
You will get dry lips and you feel thirsty most of the time and you need to take lots of water. In the first 2 weeks, you will be going toilet frequently, it will get better after that. But, you do need your water to ensure that you are hydrated.
2. Vitamins to take
I been taking squalene oil pills after I realised my skin starts to become dry and flaky. I did my research, good oil is ketosis-approved fats so I tried them out. Squalene oil is a very oil, it helps in my skin dryness, anti-aging as well as my bones joints. So far, they are good supplements in my weight maintenance journey. 3. Ideal breakfast
2 eggs are good enough for me to start my day, I do not have the time to make a full breakfast. I will drop by Ya Kun Kaya Toast http://yakun.com/ or Toastbox which is near my office to pack 2 soft boil eggs and my favourite, must-have coffee! I did not compromise on the coffee that I take and they are a must to start my day. I am still having my coffee -c with less sugar everyday! Although evaporate milk and sugar should be avoided, I still cannot bring myself to take in stevia sweeteners. They leave a lingering taste even after some time.
4. Ideal lunch
Fish soup without carbs, kway chap without the kway, pig organ’s soup and grill chicken chop are my favourite lunch. I will ask for extra vegetable and swap my fries to salad. I am a traditional Chinese girl that needs soup to ease my tummy. The starting phase is tough but once, you stick to this for the next 5 days, you will get used to it. And, in fact, you will not get food coma after lunch, yeah! That’s really happening when you skip carbs, I think.
5. Ideal dinner
Ok, Im not planning for my dinner or my dinner for my family. It’s too much for me, what I want is a balanced meal for my family and keto approved dinner. I have been ordering tingkat catering for my family and all I need to do, is to for no rice.

For a typical dinner, I will enjoy the meat (protein), vegetables, seafood (seafood is safe for ketogenic diet) and soup with my family. If you tempted to eat rice, 2 mouth is enough! And of course, you need soup to keep yourself full. I will usually eat the carrots, if any, in the soup but not potatoes.
6. Ideal Supper
Prepare lots of avocado, they are keto-approved fruits and they keep you full! Another alternative is ramen soup tea bags or miso soup instant soup. They are easy to make and they are comforting to have before bed. Since milk is not allowed for ketosis diet, I switch to other alternatives so I found instant soup is one of the best thing to have and you can still maintain ketone levels up.
7. Ideal skincare
My skin starts to turn flaky and chapped lips, even though I think I was drinking enough water. To encounter this, I had to use 3

On a side note, squalene oil for aczema conditions, even for babies.
Lastly, do not skip your masks at nights, hydrating masks will be your best friend! You can use them while you are washing your dishes, laundry or settling your ironing. They are good to soothe your skin and keeps them hydrated and you need the extra hydration when you are in your early stage of ketosis journey.
